Vedadi was the founder of Modern Flower in 2016, and in 2017 merged his business with Harvest Health and Recreation, becoming the Executive Chairman where he was responsible for licensing, mergers and acquisitions, start-ups, operations, and organizational direction and strategy. With his significant expertise and experience in real estate development, finance, private equity, debt, and equity capital markets, Vedadi navigated the rapid and efficient growth of Harvest and took the company public in 2018.
The 2021 merger of Harvest and Trulieve created the most profitable cannabis company in America and the second largest in the world by market capitalization at the time.
In 2020, Vedadi founded the vertically- integrated cannabis company, Oasis Cannabis, in Arizona. Oasis quickly grew to 89,000 Sq Ft of cultivation, a state-of-the-art processing facility, and three dispensaries. Oasis was sold to the MSO AYR Wellness in March of 2021, and was reacquired from AYR by a Vedadi led investment group for a fraction of the 2021 sale price.
In 2021, following his exit from Oasis, Vedadi founded Story Cannabis and is currently its CEO and largest shareholder. Story has quickly established itself as one of the largest and most successful privately owned cannabis Multi-State Operators in the U.S. and now operates 18 dispensaries and 3 Cultivation operations in Maryland, Ohio, and Arizona, and has emerging operations in New Jersey, Illinois, North Carolina, and Georgia.
